I gained my Bachelor in Photography, Design & Multimedia at the Art Academy St. Joost. After that I worked as a VJ for a while traveling abroad. Gradually my heart fell in love with visual design and storytelling through visuals, creating on and offline visual identities for various clients. This is when I made the choice to fully transition into being a fulltime (freelance) designer.
As a designer, I balance my flexible job with working for agencies, multinationals other creatives while also doing personal creative work, like photography, awareness campaigns and writing, which led to an opportunity to give a TEDx talk. I believe in a life where work and play are intertwined. Empathy, collaboration and creating a more conscious world are very important to me, they are the driving force behind my creative work. This allowed me to work on cool projects, from well known brands to self-created projects. In my free time I like to go explore the world, create art in my studio, play on my piano or just read a good book.
My creative approach—no matter the medium—is to create visuals that move us beyond thinking and create an emotional connection. My focus is on empathy and connection, and the look and feel of a brand or product. Whether it is print or digital, I have a big passion for both. I love to solve design challenges and translate information to visuals that fits my clients vision.
